Your history in Flight Games... Empty
PostSubject: Your history in Flight Games...   Your history in Flight Games... EmptySat Feb 27, 2010 4:11 pm

Well, we all got into playing flight games somehow, and their is usually an interesting story behind it. How did you all get into playing flight games over other types? What was your first, favorite and your highlight moments?

For me...well it all started with Ace Combat 5. When i used to rent it all the time when i was a kid. Then Ace Combat Zero came out and i got it for my birthday. It was a great game. It was the game that me and my friends played all the time and i was the best at it. I had all the planes and paint schemes. I could fight anyone anywhere from Airspace B7R to the V2 Rocket Launch tunnels. It was my favorite game. I played that for a bit on my PS3 and was really disapointed when i heard Ace Combat 6 was only on the Xbox 360. I lived off of Blazing Angels: Squadrons Of WWII (on PS3 you can change the controls to realistic). Then i heard of a new flight game coming out for PS3 and 360 called Tom Clancy's HAWX! Yes...i know eh...stupid me. Anyway up until a certain point i followed HAWX all the way through. I did think it was a good game (I liked Arcade games) but I never came around to buying it. Then my PS3 broke and i got a 360. First game i bought was... RSV2 and then AC6. I was amazed at the graphics. Then I remembered Blazing Angels and seen a new game coming out... IL-2 STURMOVIK: Birds Of Prey. I followed that through too. I then bought it played it had fun untill the disc broke (I'll get a new one dont worry).

Anyway in the midst of all that, when i was following HAWX, i really wanted to start a squadron. I started a squadron called "Death Knights". It was the first major squadron success of the game. I got tons of pilots to fly under my command and made some friends along the way. Had a squadron website and later on even had allied and rival squadrons. Once the game came out my #2 man left the squadron to start up his own under my support. He ended up stealing most my pilots and ideas. After that the DEATH KNIGHTS were terminated and to this day my #2 man has his squadron up and running playing BF 1942 and other shooters. Kinda sad. If your interested in what i did, here is a link to out forum page. http://forums.ubi.com/eve/forums/a/tpc/f/3981007546/m/1491091137/p/1 We also had another page thread that was 100 pages long but i cant find it. Tragic day.

So what is your story!
